Mitsuko “Mitzi” Asai wasn’t quite 10 years old in 1942 when President Roosevelt ordered 120,000 people of Japanese descent into inland prison camps. Mitzi will share her family’s experiences of governmental incarceration, the legacy of that dark chapter in US History, and her hopes for a more equal future for all.
