Clatsop County Historical Society Welcomes Johanna Ogden at Thursday Night Talks

Join us for an eye-opening journey into the lesser-known history of South Asians along the Columbia Corridor. Johanna Ogden will delve into material from her book, Punjabi Rebels of the Columbia River: The Global Fight for Indian Independence and Citizenship. Odgen will introduce us to the radical Independence organization known as Ghadar and the pivotal U. S. Supreme Court citizenship case United States v. Bhagat Singh Thind and the vital role each played in shaping our region’s past and that of the world.

The Clatsop County Historical Society’s TNT lecture series is a free event at Fort George Brewery on the third Thursday of each month, October through June. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and lectures begin at 7:00 p.m. Seasonal beers on tap, food, and other beverages are available for purchase. Minors are welcome with an accompanying adult.
