Cascadia Art Museum, 190 Sunset Ave. S., Edmonds, WA 98020
Cascadia is thrilled to host Writers-in-Conversation, a monthly series featuring award-winning author Michael N. McGregor interviewing important but often-overlooked Northwest writers. In partnership with the Edmonds Book Shop, the program highlights the thoughts, creativity, and work of authors who are shaping and bringing diversity to the Northwest literary scene today.
On January 9, McGregor will be talking with Jessica Gigot, a poet, farmer, and writing coach. She lives on a little sheep farm in the Skagit Valley. Her second book of poems, Feeding Hour (Wandering Aengus Press, 2020) was a finalist for the 2021 Washington State Book Award. Jessica’s writing and reviews appear in several publications, such as Orion, The New York Times, The Seattle Times, Ecotone, Terrain.org, and Poetry Northwest. Her award-winning memoir, A Little Bit of Land, was published by Oregon State University Press in September 2022.
