Abby Metzger @ Willamette River Festival July 30th, 2017

Abby Metzger, author of Meander Scars and Wild in the Willamette, will be giving a reading to kick off the Willamette River Festival. She will be hosting a booth where she will be selling and signing her books.

There will be a Movie in the Park event starting at 6:30 p.m. and a documentary will be shown at 8:30 p.m.

Bernard Quetchenbach @ Grant Visitor Center August 8th, 2017

Tuesday, August 8, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Bernard Quetchenbach, author of Accidental Gravity, will be holding a nature writing workshop with Yellowstone National Park's Pop-Up Art Studios. There will be a musical accompaniment provided by Gardiner, Montana Trio, and The Sweet Bitterroots. Quetchenbach and park staff will guide you in a group written word project and coloring program to celebrate the importance of art in Yellowstone. Event will be held on the back porch of the Grant Visitor Center.

Evelyn Searle Hess, author of To the Woods and Building a Better Nest, will be a participating author at Dr. Veronica Esagui's West Linn Book Festival. The festival will be covering a wide variety of subjects and genres, perfect for a family outing.

Bernard Quetchenbach, author of Accidental Gravity, will be participating in the "Doig Country: Imagining Montana and the West" symposium, hosted by the Center for Western Lands and Peoples at Montana State University in Bozeman, with the College of Letters and Science and the MSU Library. Various speakers will be present to address the literature, history and geography of Montana and the West that was intimately explored in Doig's memoirs and fiction.

Free and open to the public with the exception of the White Sulphur Springs trip on Saturday.
